FSX-414 is a cobalt-based superalloy developed by General Electric. It is a modest rupture-strength alloy with excellent oxidation and hot-corrosion resistance. It features a higher-chromium and lower-carbon content than the familiar alloy X-4.0, and is strengthened primarily by the precipitation of Crz3Cs.

The chemical composition of FSX-414 is as follows:

• Cobalt: 55.5-57.5%
• Chromium: 22.5-24.5%
• Tungsten: 14-16%
• Molybdenum: 4-5%
• Carbon: 0.15-0.30%
• Nickel: 0.5-1.0%
• Other elements: max. 1.0%

FSX-414 is typically used in applications where high-temperature oxidation and hot-corrosion resistance are required, such as:

• Gas turbine engines
• Jet engine vanes
• Heat exchangers
• Chemical processing equipment

FSX-414 is available in a variety of forms, including:
